My twin brother and I were raised by our grandmother. Her sharecropper family worked for Walter Rawl and dates back 275 years here - the Cherokee branch even farther along the Saluda River. My twin brother and I were raised by our grandmother. Her sharecropper family worked for Walter Rawl and dates back 275 years here - the Cherokee branch even farther along the Saluda River. Our dad was a Greek immigrant via NYC, met our mom and the rest is history - our mom passed away and our grandmother - Verdell Koon took over. And by 12 were working in her upholstery, drapery shop in the Vista. She taught us work ethic, perseverance and even how to drive on 378/No 1 in the 70s - a piece of cake back then. We all know every GREAT THING takes hard work and discipline. So, I'm giving another go at earning a seat on your council once more - just missing by 22 votes out of over 1000 in '23. I promise to try harder in my new 100% self-funded campaign and meeting with you and any resident that wants better for our community.

I graduated USC-Columbia engineering barely - likely because waiting tables, teaching gymnastics & cheering on Gamecock Football from the sidelines at Williams-Brice stadium took its toll on time. After Carolina I piled everything in my Mustang and started work at GE in California and on... coast-to-coast applying tech innovations in water utilities, the electric grid, manufacturing, cyber and more. I'd love to now apply all that experience facilitating agreement on cost-effective solutions across 17 towns back home here in Lexington. Covid Lockdown in California was a HUGE and challenging eye opener re government overreach and control. I am grateful to be back home where I finally feel I can ramp-up a difference in our local government. I love Lexington and I am one of its greatest fans and cheerleaders - am grateful for your support!

For 95% of my life I have been light years from politics, but I have always thought politicians like my truck's oil should be changed on the regular. I am trying retirement for a second attempt to be your rep. As a private citizen I have partnered up with multiple local government bodies to line up their actions to serve residents FIRST.

I am trying retirement for a second attempt to be your rep. As a private citizen I have partnered up with multiple local government bodies to line up their actions to serve residents FIRST. I've driven expense reporting, funded requests to keep bodies transparent and to improve results. I started Save LexingtonSC on FB with 1300 members strong. I have engaged county, Midlands Council of Governments/DOT, & our state house delegations directly. MUST-DO improvements we need - will take a unified effort from all and to inspire more resident involvement when it truly matters. Let's chat more on my porch or your doorstep.
